Rihanna registered a new “R” logo
Rihanna’s company Roraj Trade LLC has filed a new trademark for the word mark “R”. As the United States Patent and Trademark Office reports, the mark consists of of a stylized “R”. However, the pictured logo is a placeholder and resembles the 2009 logo of her studio album “Rated R”.
Rihanna is trying to protect the mark in categories that include jewelry, calendars and USB flash drives (see full list below). Items that some fans believe hint at upcoming tour merchandise. Its exact purpose is yet to be confirmed, however, she already registered the same exact logo in 2018 and never used it publicly. Usually it takes in between 3 – 12 months for the application to be approved in order to use it. In 2019, reports were spread that Rihanna was about to release a new album. Since being confirmed the next Super Bowl Headliner, the same rumors circulate for 2023…
Rihanna registered new “Fenty” trademarks
The same day, Rihanna also registered new trademarks for her brand name “Fenty”. The same known logos, that are public since atleast 2018, were registered in categories that incldue jewelry, clothing and footwear. It is unlikely for the luxurious fashion brand to return at this point, so these may be additional trademarks for upcoming tour merch.
