Singer/songwriter Kamille talks to Cosmopolitan UK about a studio session with Rihanna

Singer/songwriter Kamille talked about working with Rihanna in a new interview with Cosmopolita UK. While playing “Top of the Props”, the British singer was handed a Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb, that would later remind her of a studio sessions both artists had while working on Rihanna’s upcoming studio album.

After singing parts of “Birthday Cake”, which Kamille reveals is one of her favorite songs, she recalls her “biggest pinch me moment”: “Probably being in the studio with Rihanna. Her like, dancing right next to me to what we were making. I was just literally like ‘Oh my God, this is actually happening right now’.” The 34-year-old then described Rihanna as “beautiful and unreal” while adding that she’s “obsessed” with her.

Kamille first revealed working with Rihanna in July of 2020 in an interview with Daily Star newspaper’s “Wired” column: “I’ve tried to get on the album, but what do I know? What I’ve heard is that it’s so good. So I am praying one of my songs has made it. But who knows?”

Kamille has Caribbean roots and already co-wrote several singles that went number one on the UK Single Charts. She has writing credits on “I’m Good” (Blue)” by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha as well as “Shoutout To My Ex” by Little Mix and “I’ll Be Ther” by Jess Glynne.
