Behind The Scenes of Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” music video shoot
It’s been a while since fans got to experience a new song, much less a music video. So our day just got better with even more footage: Rihanna’s YouTube account just released a “Lift Me Up” making of clip to the full song. The vertical video was directed by Russell Elliot and Carolyn Girondo, Fenty Corp’s Head of Digital.
Rihanna praises “the illest” Autumn Durald Arkapaw
Go behind the scenes and watch Rihanna perform “Lift Me Up” at a beach during sunset with nothing but a bonfire in sight. The music video was directed Autumn Durald Arkapaw. Rihanna commented the new BTS video on Instagram praising Arkapaw: “An honor getting one of the illest from Black Panther directing this music video!! Shout outs to you and your entire team for bringing this visual together for such a special record! #liftmeup“
Judging by the hair, the music video was shot only days before the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” premiere on October 26th, as Rihanna had different hairdos the times she was spotted shortly before. The song is in tribute of the late Chadwick Boseman, who played T’Challa in the first “Black Panther” movie in 2018. The actor has died of cancer aged 43 in 2020.
